The following disclosures are provided in compliance with federal regulations (Regulation DD, Regulation E, etc.) and govern the relationship between Cheston Bank and our account holders.
FDIC Insurance Coverage
Cheston Bank is a member of the FDIC. All deposit accounts (Checking, Savings, Money Market, and CDs) are federally insured up to the maximum standard insurance amount of $250,000 per depositor, per ownership category.
APY Variability and Interest Calculations
The Annual Percentage Yield (APY) for High-Yield Savings and Money Market accounts is variable and may change at any time without prior notice after the account is opened. Interest is compounded daily and credited monthly.
Account Fee Schedule Summary
While many Cheston accounts are fee-free, specific services may incur charges. Key fees include:
- Overdraft Fee: $30 per item (limit of 3 per day).
- Wire Transfer (Domestic): $15 outgoing.
- International Transaction Fee: 1% of the transaction amount (waived for certain premium credit cards).
Electronic Fund Transfer (Regulation E)
You have certain protections under federal law regarding unauthorized electronic fund transfers. Your liability for unauthorized transfers is generally limited if you report the loss promptly.
